No – that’s not what I do – I may have to get parts if you need a repair, but in general I offer a service, I am not a retail outlet. There are plenty of folk doing that, even here on the Coromandel, or online.

Cove Computing was started in 2023, when after 24 years service in a large multinational IT firm I was ‘let go’. Their loss is YOUR gain I say. As for how long I have been doing things with computers – I can honestly say that when I started we still used punch cards and paper tape! I wrote my first computer program in 1975 – amazingly it was part of the Arithmetic syllabus in my secondary school! After University I joined a large IT company in Scotland, before moving to NZ in 1987. So professionally I have been in IT services for 40 years (OMG did I just admit that?).
